What If You Broke All the Rules A Choose Your Destiny Novel Liz Ruckdeschel Sara James Books
Have you ever wished the characters in your favorite novels made different choices?Should Haley spend a quiet New Year's Eve with the artistically inclined Devon, Shaun, and Irene, or hit Rich Haber's booze-soaked blowout attended by the cutie next-door, Reese Highland? How and where should she spend spring break? Would you have her stay in town for a screening of her school art project? Or should she make nice with and (possibly) change the lives of the fallen-from-grace and currently troubled Queen Bees Coco and Whitney? Maybe you'd rather she get friendly with the neo-cool regime of Sasha, John, Cecily, Drew, and Reese by jetting to Paris. Or would you fly her to Spain alongside the school's premier brainiacs, couple Annie and Dean and heartthrob exchange student Sebastian Bodega?
WHAT IF...YOU BROKE ALL THE RULES is an easy-breezy beach read that allows readers to dictate the novel's final outcome. Sure, there's not a lot of complication, or in-depth drama, but sometimes you just want to kick back, let your brain take a break, and enjoy the ride.
Plus, the additional benefit of being able to retrace your steps and choose a different path should you find yourself dissatisfied with the outcome is sure to please.

What If You Broke All the Rules A Choose Your Destiny Novel Liz Ruckdeschel Sara James Books Reviews
I really liked reading this book! It was a ton of fun choosing the alternate endings and having Hayley go down different paths. Buying this book is a choice that you shouldn't second guess!
My 13-year-old daughter read and re-read this book, each time with a different ending. She loved it and she's not a big reader. She's now working on another Liz Ruckdeschel book.
This really was an interesting idea. I always liked 'Choose Your Own Adventure' books. But, the storyline in this wasn't all that great, and the poor writing kind of killed it. I did manage to finish one ending, but I don't think I can force myself to read it just to go over the same ideas and same bad writing to come up with a not-so-satisfying ending.
I couldn't relate to the characters and none of them were endearing to me, to the point I honestly didn't care where she went or who she ended up with.
Don't mean to be harsh, but that's pretty much how it goes for me.
this is a good series for teens, I bought them for my tweleve year old and my eighteen year old also read them.
good for teaching cause and effect. you must pick your end, if its wrong you have to pick another. the girls in my daughters school passed them all around.
I had never read a "choose your destiny" novel before so I was very excited when I picked this one up. However, this was a disappointing experience. The concept was interesting enough and making choices about what Haley was going to do next was fun, but the book itself is badly written. The writing really is quite terrible and totally ruined the experience for me. Also, there are a lot of errors in this book that should have been spotted by an editor. I found these errors distracting and some of the writing just left me thinking, "WTF?" for example when the Spanish boy says, "No problemo." Really? I doubt someone from Spain would speak their own language incorrectly. If what they were going for was him mocking the Americans for saying things like that, it didn't come off like that at all, it just looks stupid. Also, they don't use pesetas in Spain anymore, they use the Euro.
This book at last saved karma building up on Coco's part. It was pretty interesting, and I managed to get to Paris with Sasha and the most popular girls (now that Coco and Whitney had fallen from grace). In my opinion "Rebel Yell" was probably the worst "Go Back to Page 1" ending. Luckily, I know I wouldn't choose that.
Also, it seems you get the chance to turn someone in, even if you're wrong, in every book. Irene, Sasha, and now Whitney. In the next book, I found out that you could also "Blame Hannah" which was like turning her in incorrectly.
